If you have watched the movie "Chak De India" you must be aware of beautiful actress Shilpa Shukla who played energetic Bindiya Nayak role in the film. Recent news says she is currently working hard to improve her look and overall personality. Joined a gym to make her body perfect to show herself off with glowing skin and lustrous hair. Do you know why she doing this? Actually she would be soon playing another role opposite the actor Abhay Deol for a movie with title "Junction". She would be playing the role as a glamorous designer, who has suicidal tendencies.

She said that this is the first time she is growing her nails, eating sensibly and working out for two and a half hours in order to make her perfectly fit for the new role. She also succeded in loosing some weight and often making use of beauty parlours to groom herself. She commited that yet she don't have a petite frame and those conventional good looks, but she has sharp features and want to make most out of it.

Regarding working with Shah Rukh Khan she said Shah Rukh Khan is an amazing star and actor. The scene in which she propositioned coach Kabir Khan (SRK) is her favourite and that was actually the scene she had auditioned for. Actress Shilpa Shukla said that after the shot Shah Rukh, sipping his coffee came up to her and said 'you are really good' which made her trance and just couldn't take her eyes off him.

Regarding her struggle in the film industry she said that she always wanted to become an actress and her first film named Khamosh Pani released in 2003 was based on the true events of 1947 partition and was an art movie which she enjoyed playing a role in it and was also appreciated. She said that she also did theatre and then the bollywood movie "Chak De! India" came her way which ultimately realized her that her struggle was bearing fruits.

Regarding survival in indian film industry, the actress said that its very difficult for a person from non-filmi background to exist in this dog-eat-dog industry but her talent and her experience of working in theatres has ultimately paid off. She also said that her husband Mohit Tripathi, who is a film producer became very supportive for her and that was one of the reasons, she was able to show her talent to the world. The actress said raising a family is just not a priority at the moment.

Personal Life:Actress Shilpa Shukla is a Buddhist born in Bihar, while brought up in New Delhi. Her brother Tenzin Priyadarshi (originally Priyadarshi Shukla) is a renowned monk and is currently the Buddhist Chaplain at MIT. Her father N.K. Shukla is a senior Income Tax official. She attended Delhi Public School RK Puram till Class XII, then went to Miranda House and National School of Drama, Delhi, where she met her would be husband.
